Last Week in the States

So this is it...the last few days in the place in which I've grown up. Everyone's been asking: Are you nervous? Are you crazy? What if you don't fit in?

I've been answering all these questions the same way: I'm a little nervous that I won't learn German quickly enough, I'm not crazy, and I'll fit in eventually. I've learned that keeping an open mind and not expecting too much are the keys to having a good experience.

That said, I'll be flying out June 3 to start the next chapter of my life. I'll keep an open mind, and use what I've learned in the past to help me adapt to my new environment.
